Liked the movie
I hate the new player though. It crashed several times. The old one would not load.
The movie was better than I had expected it to be.
4 stars for the movie. 1 star for the new player.

I liked it.Film is complete and in good condition. Good plot. Interesting location during interesting time during U.S. occupation of Japan and Korean War. Exotic female. Decent acting.
I had the opportunity to live in Tokyo for a year several years after this was filmed. The film depicts Tokyo as I remember it. I would have given it 5 stars if subtitles were provided for the Japanese dialog. Film was still easy to follow. Just a good entertaining spy movie.

Intrigue and action centered on combating a communist spy and sabotage plot. Better acting, principally by the western characters, would have made this a better movie. Nevertheless it is fast paced, and having been shot on location in Tokyo, it is an interesting look at Japanese life six years after the end of the Pacific war. At the time of filming Japan still was under partial US military occupation.
Good image quality for a tape transfer. Good audio. Complete print.
